We’ve been told a picture’s worth a thousand words – or in the case of Hilton Koch and one of his youth football players – holding a thousand dollars in a picture is worth plenty of social media scrutiny and allegations of paying youth football players.
A week after a firestorm from a picture with Longtime Houston Businessman and owner of Hilton Furniture and Mattress owner Hilton Koch surfaced on his Facebook page, Hilton Koch joined The HD Show Podcast to set the record straight about what was really going on in the picture.
“We were just having some fun,” said the charismatic Koch.
In this hour-long interview, Hilton sits down with Henry and I to discuss his his love for youth football and the work he’s done in the community with his football team, the Bulldogs. We talk player safety, not punting and how different this generation of kids are when it comes to coaching and dealing with phones and helicopter parents.
Of course we’d be remiss if we didn’t get into a little furniture talk, his journey to Houston, his lessons in business over the last 25 years, what finally made him get into get into social media and his two-year stint owning the WNBA’s Houston Comets.
It’s all Hilton all the time – Let ’em Have it.
